Replacing a Beetle Headlight

It depends on which side headlight. For the driver side bulb, you first need to remove the battery. (strange but true). Remove the battery cover, take off the cables, and find a bolt on the bottom front edge of the batery in the center. Their os a metal retaining band on the headlight cover assembly. Slide that off and you should finnally get to the back of the bulb socket. twist it a quarter turn and pull it our. Replace the bulb and put everythign back together. Depending on how long this takes you, you may have to re-sett the secutrity code on your radio once the power has been recontected. Their are directions for this in the back of your manual.
