How do you neutralize collard greens that are too salty? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Often potatoes will neutralize excessive salt in food. Toss in a couple pieces of raw potatoes and see if that helps.
Answer
As long as the greens aren't too well cooked (on the mushy side), it is possible to rinse them off a bit and remove some of the salt that way. Some slices of raw potato (more surface area) cooked in will certainly help (as pointed out), if the greens can take more cooking and there is time to do that.
