How do you get a record company started without knowing anyone in the business? |

This method worked for my brother: Think clearly, go to business school, get degree, put together one or two hundred thousand dollars, solicit and sign talent, buy or lease recording equipment, record demo songs, make available on the internet (no retail music distributor ever ever buys music from independent record companies), hope people buy. Figure about 10 years between starting and making a profit, if ever.
