Who cares about what speed your going
The Speedo cable runs straight to the transmission. Have you had any tranny work or service's done recently or have you done any off road driving. The cable could be loose or the part needs replaced. I would check the condition of the cable and make sure everything is tight. If that's ok I would just replace the part and see what happens. MY speedo didnt work for awhile until I figured out that it just came loose. I had the transmission replaced and I guess the tech didnt tighten down the speedo to the trans. Luckly the same shop noticed it when I came in for an oil chandge. Lucky me.
