How do you calm worried Dogs when they're scared of fireworks? |

Most dogs are upset over fireworks and some more than others. All my dogs didn't like fireworks when the kids in the neighborhood let them off, but now those kids are older and have moved away and we don't have to put up with any longer. My husband and I never left our dogs alone when we knew fireworks were going to be going off. Dogs depend on us just as children do for comfort and assurance.
I went to the July 1st fireworks last year not far from my home at a large local park and I couldn't believe the amount of people that brought their dogs. It wasn't long before dogs were howling (terrified) and a couple got off their leash with their owners chasing after them. Mmmmm, they say humans are the most intelligent on the food chain. I beg to differ!
