How do you bleed the coolant for a 1998 Mazda Millenia? In: Mazda Millenia [Recategorize] |

Answer
is this a 2.5 or a 2.3 supercharged engine. On most 2.5 there is a bleeder that is near the base of the thermostate housing. Similar for the 2.3. I am basing this that there werent many changes from the 96 model. before adding coolant , open teh bleeder screw. it looks like that of a bleeder screw on brake calipers. Begin to fill the radiator/engine with coolant.you may hear an air fizzle noise thats the air escaping teh engine as you put coolant in. No worries. When you start seeing coolant dribble a bit out of the bleeder screw close it and continue to fill the radiator until full. put on the radiator cap. Fill teh coolant resevior jug about an inch past the full line. Start the car and run it to operating temperatures, ../until the radiator fans come on, monitor the coolant temp gauge inside the car. after this is done stop teh car and let sit for 5to 10 minutes, If there is any air left it will escape to the coolant resevior jug and it will pull in what little needed coolant in in place of the air. Check teh resevior level. if it has gone down a little no need to open the cap to check.
