How do you become a professional soccer player? |
Becoming a pro football player
Here are some suggestions:
- You get scouted by a professional team. So in other words you should already be playing Sunday league or something similar, semi-pro for you to get noticed.
- In America you play soccer for the school. You then get recurited to play for colleges. After college you can be selected in the Major League Soccer draft.
- You train. Pratice goal keeping by kicking an old ball against a wall and catching it.
- MAKE IT HAPPEN. Through training. Get involved with the club, for example, . I play in a U/17 division, but I train with the Super/State League therefore u gain attention.
- This is a question only you, yourself and you can answer. All I can do is give you advice so here it is: Train hard but not too hard! Focus on the game and what your main ojective is whether it's to stop all those attackers' goals or to score them. Go to training camps, and try out for high grades. And never let anyone tell you your not good enough because If you know you're goog that's all that matters!
- It's simple really, carry a football with you WHEREVER you go, play as much as you can, never turn it down, be the first to play and last to stop, and most importantly have self-belief and driving determination, get the idea. There isn't the saying 'Practice makes Perfect' for nothing. What are you waiting for, get outside now!
- Train a lot, grab a ball and experiment, watch professional soccer matches on TV (here I recommend European Domestic Leagues such as the Italian Serie A or English Premiership or the cream of Europe in the UEFA Champions League), join a soccer club/nursery or join a team in a Sunday league.
- Read a book on one of your role models and learn how they used to train day in day out. When in training you should always remember that the harder you train the more progress is being made. And when in a game situation all you have to remember is "PAIN IS ONLY TEMPORARY, PRIDE IS FOREVER." When you put effort and determination into something you always succeed.
- If you feel you're that good hire a sports agent that will promote you and ask for scout to watch you play.
- You have to practice a lot, and some of it will depend on the chances of you getting your big break, but make your talents known. Play college, get drafted. Your going to have to push youself, but you can do it if that is what you truly want. Being pro is very hard, I got to meet some football players from a third string and from the line up and they both work hard but what made the two differant was the look they had of pure concentration, and all they knew was football. They studied every play and also worked as a team. You can't be truly good unless you believe you can do it and that you can make a team better by you being there. When you are apart of a team that you have fun with as well as work together and share the same passion you'll get there.
