You just ask her out! That's the only way you are ever really going to get to know each other. It's not a great idea to hide behind a computer and have a relationship going on. Humans need to see each other, touch each other and get to know each other. These are just pure human needs.

If you meet with her and you don't care for her then make up your mind to try and remain friends, but make it clear that you aren't ready to get into a relationship yet. This is letting her down easy (or the tables may turn and she may feel this way about you.) It's a risk, but a wise one.
