How do you adjust a Kohler generator that continues to go over speed when set at 12 res 50hz netural gas?

[Edit]

Answer

hi, there. i would recommend doing what is done for wind generation stations. If i understand correctly, you have an application requiring 50 Hz power. When your generator goes above specified RPM it creates a higher frequency. If this is the problem, depending on the load, you can buy a bridge rectifier and convert to DC power. this way, over speed will produce nothing more than minor fluctuations in the power supply voltage. Now, converting back to ac is a little tricky. obviously, an ac/dc gen set is out of the question. if your application doesn't require a "clean" wave form, you can simply use an oscillator. however, if you need a sine wave to power your equipment, then you would have to use silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR's). You will have to consult with your local electronics shop to determine the proper sizes of the needed components. I hope this was helpful.
