How do parents relate to teenagers through the generation gap?

[Edit]

They try to remember there own youth,

but throw in all the added bits we have, like msn &&Myspace.
Which is why half the time they dont understand,E.g.

Your parents might over react if they found out you where gay, because it wasnt accepted when they where younger/our age,

now its more accepted,

granted most people are gay now because its "fashionalble" which quite fraqnkly is ridiculous.
