No. Here are some examples: You can be a Christian without speaking Aramaic, the language of Christ and the early Christian church. You can be a Karate student without speaking Japanese. You can ski without speaking Norwegian. You can eat at a Chinese restaurant without conversing in Mandarin. So you see how you can share culture without sharing language.

Yes. You did not learn to be a Christian without language as a tool, regardless of it's origins. You did not learn Karate with out the use of language, regardless of how it was spoken or demonstrated. You can eat at a Chinese restaurant without conversing in Mandarin but you can not order your meal with out the use of language. So you see? The only way to share cultures is through language. Culture is learned. We teach culture through language.
