Inevitably, some do and some do not.

For reference, here is the definition of a NERD: A square (50's saying). An uninteresting person; inept, unattractive, dud. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific/technical but is felt to be socially inept.

• I asked my lovely 17-year-old daughter this question. She says girls DO think that guys who play video games are nerdy, and added, "What's wrong with being a nerd, they are much better than jocks?" She does not have a lot of time for the "cool" guys.

• I wouldn't think so. There are many guys hooked on video games out there, and it's the entertainment of the future. I would like to warn you, that if you start dating a girl and can't tear yourself away from your video games, then you have a problem. Keep it for the evening or on your own time, and don't let it interfere with relationships.

• Go to any electronic shop where all the young people go to buy CDs and there are lots of boyfriends/girlfriends going to get those video games. If a young man is constantly playing video games to escape reality then that is a problem. I love this saying that I heard from a nerdy kid in school, "Well, I may be nerdy to you, but you'll be coming to me for psychological counseling and then who's making the big bucks then?" I thought I would wet myself I laughed so hard. Nerd is only a nickname for a person that is a little different from someone else. A young girl or boy could be classified as a nerd if they wear glasses or not the right labeled clothing. On and on it goes.

• I remember this question from before, and I still say, "There ain't nothin' like the real thing baby!" As some posters said if the guy is always on the computer that is a problem, and some young people can use the internet as an escape and forget what real life is. Yes, some of the games of fine, but a lot of young people are getting hooked on them. Too many young people get into the games, then they are on chat lines, try to find love on different web sites and it's sure not as good as trying to find someone out there in the real world. Not to mention kids can get lethargic, have health problems (such as not eating well or eating fast foods while on the computer) and they wonder why so many kids are over weight.

• It really depends on the person. If you play to an obsessive point, then probably.

• Nope, I think it's sexy when guys play video games.

• It would depend on quite a few different things. Things you may want to consider: the girl, her amount of shallowness, the guy, what video games he plays, how long he plays them, what else he does in his spare time, his age, etc.
