As per your suggestion, I read Numbers 22. But there's something I can't understand;

(22:20-22)

God says to Balaam, "If men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them." Men come, and Balaam goes with them, just as God had commanded. "And God's anger was kindled because he went" -- but he was just following God's instructions.
