You could use LYE or the refined form of LYE caustic soda to remove the obstruction
it will desolve organic materials but NOT hurt the pipes.
It is strongly suggested to remove the obstruction this would be the best way, either use something like a coat hanger with a hook end, a strong cord with a treble hook or a sewer snake with a retriever head.
