Yes, they are. They are versatile and fuel efficient. My sister has owned a Vibe since 2003, and she has had good luck with it. The seats fold down and gives you a lot of space, good for moving out of dorms! The Pontiac Vibe shares the same mechanics as a Toyota, so they are extremely reliable and will not break the student's budget. It's GM's best kept secret. The best years to own are from 2003-2005. They have received excellent accilades.
