12 squares of chocolate equal how many ounces of chocolate chips? |
[Edit] |
Depends on how big the squares are. An ounce is an ounce. If you have a package of chocolate squares, look at its weight in ounces as printed on the package. Let's say there's 12 squares in the package, and the package net weight is 12 oz. Easy! Each square weighs one ounce.
A standard package of Nestle's chocolate bits weighs 12 oz. So if you have 12 oz. of chocolate squares, you have the same amount of chocolate as in the package of chocolate bits.
If the package of chocolate squares has a different weight and/or a different number of squares, you are going to have to do some arithmetic to figure out the equivalences.
